Oh The Things You Can Try!!

So this year has proven to be super busy so just bear with me as I post in spurts! I have a couple of new nail ideas that I have tried...

I am a teacher...I try new things for the kids all the time...this is my latest teacher inspired work of art:

Dr. Seuss inspired nails! My kiddos loved them! My right hand has a 1 on the middle finger for those of you curious!

Here is another look I tried just because:

I just needed something new and I really liked the simplicity of this one!

REVIEW TIME!!!

Ok,  So I have been really looking for new ways to perfect my make up. As most of you know, I have very sensitive skin and I absolutely love my Arbonne make up! I break out every time I use something different....but putting my foundation on with my fingers just isn't cutting it. I wanted a more polished look. So, I searched and searched for the best tool to put product on my face....and...

I FOUND IT!!!

Ladies (and gents...I'm not discriminating...)

Introducing....

THE BEAUTY BLENDER:

At first I was skeptical...and it cost me at $15 so I was a little nervous that I was wasting my money, but thankfully I did not! I absolutely love the finish this sponge gives! I tried others but it just soaks up your product and leaves your foundation looking very streaky....This one does not do that at all! Here is out it works:

1. Soak the Beauty Blender
2. Squeeze the excess water out of it...I even squeeze it in a towel after squeezing the excess out.
3. Put your product in your hand (doesn't take much at all) dab onto the Beauty Blender
4. Stipple or Dab all over face.

The pointed end is used for hard to reach places around your eyes and nose the round part is for your cheeks and forehead. Some people have just put the product on the sponge but I get more bang for my buck when I put it in my hand or even on the T Zones of my  face and then dab it all over.  The sponge dries small and then puffs out each time you wet it. It is genius. I love, love, love it!

This product gives me a flawless finish. I will not use another tool to put on my foundation! I am a firm believer in the Beauty Blender! It is worth every cent I spent!

Warning: I clean mine out every day with my face wash...I did not spend the extra money to buy the cleanser. You do not have to do this though. I just do because I want a fresh start everyday. I also bought the white one because of the dye of the pink one and the fact that I have sensitive skin. Also, do not leave this product closed up....it needs to sit out to dry...otherwise it can mold and then your $15 is down the drain....or in the trash can rather.

What products or tools do you love??

XOXO,

This and That...

Oh...the life of a full time teacher, Zumba Instructor, Arbonne Consultant, Saba Associate, Wife,  and blogger...

needless to say...it's been very busy!! But here are some fun things I have to share with you:

I joined the Saba movement (after being very skeptical...it's hard to make me believe things like this actually work!) this last month (because it WORKED!) I have dropped 10lbs since using the product and I LOVE it! Not to mention I have tons of new found energy!  If you are interested, please email me at aleciaeastridge@gmail.com or find your nearest Saba Associate! Your life will forever be changed!

And here are a few more nail looks I have worn recently:

I wore this during the Christmas and New Year Holiday!

Valentine's Day is coming up ladies!

 Tribal!

I got this little gem for Christmas and I LOVE it!!! The Light was only $30 on Amazon and the Kit was only $15 on Amazon! This has also helped my manicure last longer!! (or at least look pretty until I am ready for a new look...which is every week! haha!)

I hope you have had a wonderful couple of months and have found many inspiring pins, blogs, etc to keep yourselves busy!!

XOXO,

Scared Trendy...

Ok, so maybe no one can actually be scared into being trendy but seeing as Halloween is right around the corner, I couldn't resist the catchy title.

So here is what I have had going on lately:

This is one that I did just for fun! I thought it was pretty simple put pretty! I am all about the bling!

Onto the holiday looks:

Here is a more plain yet fun look!

And of course a bit of bling to spice it up a bit!

Onto more of a Halloween look:
 Plain here.

 Bling here!

It's all about what suits your taste and what look you are going for!  I will have some more fun looks to add in a few days!

Onto other things I have been up to:

My sister sent me a picture of a girl's ghost costume and asked me to make it for my niece...well...here's the finished product:

I can't wait to post the pic of her in it! She is going to look adorable!!

And this is just something that I pulled together...
(bad pic...sorry!)

This outfit will be matched with a bow for the dress and hair in different colors. The colors I used were (yellow with white polka dots, Crimson Red, and I am working on a Teal, but you could do whatever color suits your fancy!) I bought a 2T white shirt and made a skirt and sewed it up! (i don't have a pattern...i just kind of winged it...not ideal but it turned out cute!)

What sort of projects keep you busy? And what kind of  neat looks have you come up with?

Dealing with Sorrow...

I am sorry I haven't been around lately. It's been a pretty sad time around our house lately. My husband's grandmother is in the final stages of her life and it has taken a pretty big toll on me. I know that she has lived a good, long life, but it doesn't hurt any less and it doesn't prepare me any more for what is about to come. All I know is that I have a God that I can rely on to give me strength, peace, and comfort to get through this emotional time. Please keep our family in your prayers. I will be back soon!

XOXO,
